Khmer Unicode MacOSX Lite enables Mac OS X users to read and write Khmer Unicode with most software on Mac OS machine.

This software has been tested on Mac OS 10.4.11, 1o.5.2 and Mac OS 10.5.6

Change Log:

Version 2.1 (Released 28/03/2010)

1. Fixed space issues in Khmer NiDA V2, and renamed the layout name to Khmer V2

2. Removed password from zip file

3. Added Cambodian flag to Khmer V2

4. Added Frequently Ask Questions into ReadBeforeInstall.pdf

For example, you want add Khmer language to Stickies, please follow the steps below:

1. download Khmer Language Package for Stickies from Nokorsoft website

Then extract it and copy Khmer.proj folder

2. Go to Applications folder, right click on Stickies, select Show Package Contents

3. Click on Contents> Resources, then paste Khmer.lproj into this folder.

How to change Mac Application default language to Khmer

Scenario: You can speak 2 languages namely English and Khmer. English is your Apple Mac OS primary language; thus, all Apps are in English. But you want to use Khmer as default language for some Apps, while want to keep others in English.

Note: This instruction only works with Mac Applications that have Khmer language package installed. At the moment, we only released Khmer localization package for Stickies 6.0.

Well, here is the trick, take Stickies for example:

A few people asked me why some Khmer Unicode websites such as khmeros.info and open.org.kh do not display Khmer Unicode properly on Mac?

The answer is that they may used Non-Mac Khmer Unicode fonts as their display fonts using CSS3 web font technology.

How to solve this problem?

go to Firefox > Preferences…> Content > under Fonts & Colors click Advanced… button, then un-tick []  Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above
