Khmer Legacy font websites on Android OS

We have been trying so hard to get Khmer Unicode to work on Android OS, but still no result at the time of this writing. However, we have a good news here, we still be able to browse some Khmer websites using legacy font via Nokorsoft andorid proxy.

So replace http://www.dap-news.com/ with your prefer website address.

Note: I embedded Limon S1 font to Khmer Websits, thus only some websites will work using this trick . This trick is tested on Android OS 1.5 but I expect it to work on Android 2.2 as well. 2.1 does not support web font, thus this trick won’t work on Android 2.1.

Issues with Khmer Unicode font for Mac OS

Thank to users who reported issues about Khmer Unicode font on Mac OS X, we found problem with Choeung Ror ្រ in the font. E.g. អាធ្រាត

iDroid: Android OS on hacked iPhone?

David Wang, a member of the iPhone Dev Team, domonstrated Android OS running on a hacked iPhone in a Youtube video clip. He used OpeniBoot (Linux boot) to boot Android OS image on his hacked iPhone. Android OS for iPhone (iPhone Linux/iDroid) is still in its public testing version at time of writing; thus, slow and buggy performance is expected. We are curious to see the performance of a stable version of iDroid.

Hello everyone this is Yahoo! Messenger in Khmer for you. I’ve been working on this too long. 90% had been translated to Khmer. so try it and post comment tell me what you think.

To use it (make sure your Mac has Khmer language turned on) download this folder http://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B0WUGDzOYrKJODI4YTI0ODUtZThjNS00YzkzLTk1ODYtNjAyMzE1ODRlZThm&hl=en unzip it, and copy, past these files in to English.lproj. Remember replace the files not the whole folder.

Please backup your English.lproj or backup your Yahoo! App before proceeding, as it might not work with you Yahoo! Messenger.

To get to English.lproj go to finder-application-the right click on yahooMS-select show content package-the go to Resource-and there you will find English.lproj.
